The Roadmaster Sterling tow bar # RM-576 is compatible with all Roadmaster base plates including XL base plates # 1183-1 for the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. The XL base plates will use the quick disconnects that came with the tow bar. It sounds like your Jeep has the EZ5 base plates but that type of set up is not available for the FJ Cruiser.

The tow bar already has safety cables and a 7- to 6-Way so what I recommend for wiring on the FJ is # TR118821. You would have to cut off the 4-Way that would be at the front of the vehicle and hardwire the wires to the back of a 6-Way, # RM-910030-7.

And if you do not have a portable braking system that you can move from the Jeep to the FJ then I recommend the Even Brake, # RM-9400. Portable systems are easy to transfer from one vehicle to another.

You may also need a high/low adapter to keep the tow bar level. I have linked a help article showing how to measure and a link to the high/low adapters we carry. Be sure to consult your vehicle owners manual for specific information on flat towing the vehicle. I have also included some helpful links to our series of help articles on flat towing for you.
