How does the ThuleOutWay Platform 2 Install on a 2014 Honda Insight

Im interested in purchasing the Thule outway platform 2 for my 2014 Honda Insight. I see that both your site and thules say it fits, but I'm curious about the upper strap attachments because they seem like they would be hooking directly to the glass on my hatchback?

In the installation instructions of the Thule OutWay Platform 2 Bike Rack, # TH65JV, the upper support strap will connect in the gap at the front edge at the top of the hatch door. The clip should not have any contact with the glass in your hatch back door.

The strap may contact the glass, but the actual mounting point will be at a body joint on your vehicle.

However, Thule does state that when the carrier is mounted to your Honda you will not be able to use the rear wiper blade.
