Recommended Transmission Cooler For 1999 Chevy Silverado

Question:

I have 99 Silverado i have had a run of bad luck in the transmission part. I just lost high gear in mine and this will be my third trans. This time around. Will installing a external cooler help with this? Since i do some towing bit mostly drive to work truck

For your 1999 Chevy Silverado, I recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit # D13503. This cooler has turbulators inside the tubes to move the fluid and give you superior heat transfer. This will help with the longevity of the transmission as well as helping it function better and is designed specifically for the electronic overdrive transmissions. You will also want the Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings for GM # D13018 so you can add the cooler without the hassle of cutting or flaring lines.
