Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15300 Compatibility With Ranch Hand Style Bumper Compared To Factory
Question:
I have a ranch hand style bumper that the factory hitch isnt the best. Its too far back and and barely clears the bottom of the will this be any better fitting? Mainly does it more than the factory? Also does the hitch tube stick further out than the factory?

For your 1998 Dodge Ram Pickup with ranch hand style bumper, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class V XD - 2" # C15300 is a confirmed fit. I don't know what the factory measurement are on that hitch, especially in regards to an aftermarket bumper.
I reached out to my contact at Curt and he thinks you have the best option. He said that the last mounting hole for that bumper is 11 inches to the end of that receiver tube, so you can do a quick measurement to see if this will meet your needs.
