Need Replacement Mount Kit or U-Bolts To Mount Older Thule Alpine Roof Box on 1997 Toyota 4Runner

Question:

Hi, Im trying to fit an old Thule Alpine to my 97 4Runner. My OEM crossbars are 2-1/2 wide. The U-bolts size that Im after is this size: 2-15/16 center-to-center distance precisely approximately minimum 2 inside height approximately minimum 1 thread length M6 or 1/4 diameter max. I probably could go with 3 center-to-center distance. Does not necessarily have to be square u-bolt but a slight curvature would be perfect, as the crossbar cross section is shaped like an airfoil. Let me know if you have them and Ill take 8 qty. Thanks and appreciate it.

I contacted our representative at Thule and she informed me about the correct replacement mounting hardware that you will need to mount your Thule Alpine to you 1997 Toyota 4Runner.

You will need to use Thule QM3 Quick On-Off Mounting Hardware Kit, part # TH04997. For the older style Thule boxes, such as the Thule Alpine, U-Bolts are not compatible and you would need to use the # TH04997 Mounting Kit.

The spacing between the bolt holes is approximately 3-5/8 Inches, and should work fine to mount your Thule Alpine to the factory crossbars on your 1997 Toyota 4Runner with factory 2-1/2 Inch crossbars.
