Yes, you can add a second axle with a Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/Brake Flange - Off-Road Tires - 2,200 lbs # ASR1THDS02. When adding a second axle, you will want to ensure that they are the same capacity and use the same size wheels, etc. When adding a second axle the pivot point of the trailer changes, so where your current axle sits is where you would split the distance for a tandem axle application or where your center hanger would need to be if you were using two through axles and springs. This will require changing your mounting tabs.

The easiest transition to a tandem axle would be to use two of the axle-less kits. It would require no welding or cutting, just measuring and bolting.

If you aren't using trailer brakes, you would just use theTrailer Hub Assembly - 2,200-lb E-Z Lube Axle - 5 on 4-1/2 - 13" - 15" Wheels - Galvanized # 8-258-50UC1-EZ. If you use brakes, usually this is only on one axle and you'd want the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 3,500-lb Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - E-Z Lube # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K along with brakes for right # AKEBRK-35R-SA and left # AKEBRK-35L-SA. The mounting kit # BIK-00 makes this easy.

Then you just run # 10-2-1 wire to your connector. Let me know if you have any other questions.
