Will My B&W 5th Wheel Hitch Sit in the Same Location on Different Chevy Trucks?
Question:
I have a 2017 Chevy 2500hd 6.5 ft. bed. Im wanting to install a Reese RP 30868 pick rail and use a BandW RVK 3300 Ford hitch. In the rear most position will the kingpin center be in the same location as it was on my 2008 Chevy 2500hd 6.5 ft bed that had the BandW gooseneck with the BandW 5th wheel setup plugged into it. No slider was used.

The hitch ball location on the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1067 that you mentioned was 44-1/4 inches when measuring from the back of your bed towards the cab. The center of the pucks for the Reese Elite Series Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit # RP30868 is 39-1/8 inches, which is about where your 5th wheel hitch head is going to sit.
Even though that is a difference of 5-1/8 inches, the head location on the B&W Companion # BWRVK3300 is adjustable so there could be less difference if you set it to the right adjustments.
I you do not yet have a 7-way wiring harness installed in the bed of your truck I recommend using the Pollak Factory Plug # PK11893-11932.
I have included some demonstration videos for you as well.
