Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2015 Ram 1500 with 5-1/2 Foot Bed and Eco-Diesel

Will item # C16116 fit my 15 ram 1500 5 1/2 ft bed eco-diesel pickup? If not what products to I need to install a fith wheel set up?

Curt 5th wheel trailer hitch # C16116 includes a universal installation kit but that kit is not listed as a fit for your 2015 Ram 1500 with the Eco-Diesel. I do have a solution for you but you mentioned that the truck has a 5-1/2 foot bed. In order to tow a 5th wheel trailer and not have the trailer hit the truck cab when turning you will need either the Demco 13K HiJacker # DM8550040 or a fixed hitch and a Sidewinder pin box for the trailer.
Since you will need a hitch either way the most cost effective option is to go with the HiJacker hitch. It has 22-1/2 inches of travel. For an installation kit that will fit your Ram you can use # C16444-204.
