5 Lug Hub Recommendation that Fits Dexter 3,500 lb Axle

Question:

I have a single axle dexter 3500lbs 4 inch axle. I want to rebuild the axle with new hubs old hubs have the 4 bolt trailer hubs, wanting to change to a 5 bolt pattern and put new leaf springs. Im looking to make a boat trailer from the axle, the total weight should be around 700-1000lbs with all my gear. I have never made my own trailer before so I was looking for what you guys can recommend me doing to rebuild the axle that is if I can change the hubs. Can I put lower rated leaf springs on the axle even if its rated at 3500lbs? I was looking around at what parts you guys have and I dont know what exactly would be able to fit. Any help would be great, thanks.

Since you mentioned that you have a Dexter 3,500 lb axle I can tell you exactly what hub with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern will fit. The part # 84545BX will fit directly to the hub and comes with bearings, seal, and cap.

Going with a lower rated leaf spring on the axle would be just fine as well.
