High-Efficiency LED Trailer Lights to Increase Visibility

Question:

I am redoing my wiring and lighting on my landscape trailer. I wont to add 2 LED Square stud mount Tail lights, 2 LED Reverse lights, and 10 LED Side/Clearance lights 5 on each side Sounds like overkill I know, but I have been hit before because the driver said they could not see my trailer and I just like the way a bunch of lights look. I need recommendations on the best lights and wiring harness for the job. My vehicle is already equipped with a 7way so Im good there. Thanks

High-efficiency LED-type trailer lighting offers a great way to add visibility to a trailer without creating potential overload concerns for the vehicle wiring that powers them. Since LEDs use only about 1/10th the power of standard incandescent lights they are definitely the way to go for your lots-of-lights application. Also, LEDs do not tend to grow dim as they age, the way incandescent lights do.

I have included a link to our pedestal (stud)-mount square LED taillights. These are red on one side and amber on the other, such as light # STL153ARDB.

White LED backup lights are shown on another link and include items like # BUL06CB.

Amber LED clearance lights like # STL90AB are shown on the other link.

We also have all sorts of wiring parts you might need, including junction boxes like # 38656 and # HS381-9000 that has a built-in 7-way plug. Bonded wire, ring terminals and other wiring components are shown on the other linked page.

You may find helpful the included article on trailer lighting requirements.
