Adapting a 4-Pole Connector to a 7-Way Connector on a 2002 Nissan Xterra
Question:
my 2002 Nissan xterra had the cables for a 4 pin and it works fine but my trailer is a 7 pole plug. it works fine with an adapter cable but its a pain to connect and disconnect these each use. im looking for an adaptor cable to change my 4 pin to 7 point right on my vehicle so I can eliminate the adaptor cable each time. I believe this 30717 is the best part for this but can you recommended anything else ? thank you

If you just need the light functions on the trailer to work then you can install a 4- to 7-Way adapter # 30717 on your 2002 Nissan Xterra. The white wire must be grounded to a clean metal surface for it to work. The remaining wires can be taped up and stowed out of the way.
