Combination 7-Way/4-Pole Vehicle Socket for Hardwired Installation
Question:
I looked but couldnt find this on the site. Im looking for a 7 blade + 4 pin vehicle end replacement connector. I have exposed wires so I would like the style with terminals to connect the wires.

To hardwire a new 7-way/4-pole vehicle side socket you can use part # HM48470 from Hopkins. This item allows use with 4- and 5-pole flat trailer connectors and 7-way round trailer connectors. It has screw terminals to allow connection of your vehicle wiring and it includes a mounting bracket, hardware and dielectric grease to help keep your connections clean and corrosion free.
You can refer to the linked article on trailer wiring for guidance. Be sure to wire the socket based on wire function, not color. A circuit tester like # PTW2993 will make it easier to confirm the signal on each vehicle wire.
