Recommendation for Brake Controller on 2015 Ram 3500
Question:
What is the best brake controller for my 15 RAM 3500 DRW? Maybe some good, better, best options?

There are many options to choose from when deciding on a brake controller for your 2015 Ram 3500, and a couple of factors that will help you make this decision.
First, there a two main styles of brake controllers: Proportional and Time-Delayed. I recommend a proportional brake controller because it is able to use a built-in accelerometer to gauge the intensity with which you are applying to your towing vehicle's brakes and send the matching power to the brakes on your trailer.
For example, if you slam on the brakes of your towing vehicle, a proportional brake controller will send the corresponding power to your trailer brakes. If you just lightly tap the brake pedal, it will send the power back to your trailer to match that slower deceleration. This type of system offers both a safer and more comfortable ride. The design is in contrast to time-delayed brake controllers which send the same amount of preset power to your trailer brakes every time, regardless of the force you apply to your towing vehicle's brakes.
I have also provided a link to a helpful article about different brake controllers.
For a "best" option, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller with Adapter, parts # 90195 and # 3024-P. This brake controller has an LCD display, storable settings, continuous diagnostics and automatic leveling. This is also our most popular proportional brake controller for your 2015 Ram 3500. I have attached an installation video on a 2015 Ram 3500.
Next I recommend the Tekonsha Primus IQ, parts # TK90160 and # 3024-P. Like the Tekonsha # 90195, this brake controller offers a digital display (although smaller), automatic leveling and continuous diagnostics. However it is a bit more difficult to mount to and calibrate with your towing vehicle.
If you are looking for an economy option I recommend the Tekonsha Voyager, parts # 39510 and # 3024-P. This is very similar to the Prodigy P3 # 90195 and Primus IQ # TK90160 but without both a digital display and automatic leveling. This brake controller is also a bit more difficult to correctly mount to and calibrate with your towing vehicle.
The above brake controllers are all custom fit for your 2015 Ram 3500 and designed to connect right into your factory installed wiring system.
