Comparison Of Swagman And Rhino-Rack Platform-Style Hitch-Mounted Bike Carriers

Question:

does the S64686 swagman semi 2.0 come with the long locking cable that attaches to the hitch lock like the rhino rack model does or does it just have the two smaller cables? Im asking because other than the cable locks they look identical even though I know that they are not from reading one of the other questions. I guess what Im trying to say is that I prefer the rhino rack cable lock to the integrated swagman cables because they seem much more secure, but swagman is a brand name I recognize and am worried the rhino rack may not be as quality.

Both of the bike carriers, part # S64686 and part # RRRBC048 are nice carriers.

They both have many features that are the same such as ratcheting hooks to hold the bikes in place, and tilting even when the bikes are loaded for rear cargo area access. They have the same weight capacity and can be used in 1-1/4 and 2-inch trailer htich receivers. The Swagman carrier uses cable locks in each arm while the Rhino-Rack has a cable that is used with the hitch pin lock.

The Swagman has a distance of 8-inches from the rack to the hitch pin hole when folded while the Rhino-Rack measures 3-inches.

I recommend the Swagman rack because they have been making bike carriers for a long time and it is easier to get replacement parts if needed.
