Tire Chain Recommendation for 2000 Ford Explorer with Tire Size 255/65-16

Question:

I have a 2000 Explorer 4D Eddie Bauer 5.0 AWD with 255/65-16 tires. These are the original size tires but are not listed on your site for this vehicle. What are my tire chain options? I was think of the Titan Diamond link but total only lists clearance not S rating for light truck tires. The manual does not specify S but infers lower profile is recommended. I didnt know if the heavy duty ones were too thick or if there were other recommendations.

We have tire chains fits for your tire size of 255/65-16 but if your owners manual says to go with low clearance chains your best option is to stick with S compatible chains just to be safe. We have chains that are a fit for your tire size that are S compatible and will give you excellent traction like the Thule chains part # TH01594250.
