Installing Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller on a 2008 Chevy Avalanche

Question:

I have an 08 Chevy Avalanche with factory round plug I think you call it a 7-way. I am getting a Prodigy from you guys and I need to know as far as install, is this a plug-n-play type that I can buy a harness for or will it require wiring work.

Your brake controller would install just like it would on a 2008 Silverado. We have a FAQ page (see link) that shows the whole installation. We also have a step by step video (see link) that explains the entire process, as well. You will not need a separate wiring harness, the bare leads from the controller will wire directly to the leads under the dash. Please note, the wire colors under the dash and on the brake controller DO NOT MATCH color for color. Both the video and the FAQ page address which color wire needs to be connected to which wire.
