Recommended Brake Controller And Wiring For 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan

I am purchasing a new camper trailer and they said i need to have You will need a 7-pin connector. Additionally, if you want to get wired for the electronic brakes recommended you will need a brake controller installed. I have a 2003 VW Eurovan, with a 4-pin installed already in the trunk area. What do I need to buy to install and do it quickly?

The brake controller I recommend for you is the P3, part # 90195. This is one of our most popular brake controllers because it is easy to install and operate.

For wiring you will need part # ETBC7. This attaches to your 4-way and then you will need to do some additional hard wiring to complete the installation.

I have attached a drawing that shows how to run the wiring when installing a brake controller and the # ETBC7. I also attached a link to a couple helpful articles you can check out.

When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
