Platform Bike Rack Solution for Carrying 2 Bikes with 2016 Mazda 3

Question:

Whats the distance from the hitch pin hole to the stop? I need to know if my Yakima Hold up 1 1/4 hitch has enough room to slide back.

The Yakima Holdup you have is not going to fit as it is designed for Class II hitches only that are 1-1/4 inch in size and the # 24914 is a Class I hitch. The weld-stop in the Draw Tite hitch will not allow the rack to slide in all the way.

Your most ideal solution will be to use this hitch with a Class I compatible hitch like the Thule T2 part # TH9045. Other information you might find interesting is that Curt Class I hitches like the part # C11377 do not have the weld stop in the hitch tube which prevents a Class II hitch accessory from installing. You should note that you still should not use your Holdup in a Curt hitch.

Curt requires the use of their stabilizer strap part # 18050 when using their hitch to carry a non-supported load like a bike rack. I attached a review video for you to check for the strap as well.
