I called my contact at Curt and asked about your 2016 Lexus RX 450H F Sport.
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # C13282 is confirmed as a fit. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2-inch receiver opening. Per the instructions the lower rear fascia needs to be removed and trimmed and then re-installed.
If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
If you have the factory tow package on your RX 450H and need trailer wiring I recommend part # 118252. You simply plug this harness into the connector located behind the rear bumper. This will give you a 4-way connector at the rear of your vehicle.
If you do not have the factory tow package I recommend part # 118255. This harness includes a Modulite power module that connects to the vehicle battery and prevents overloading the Lexus electrical system. You plug the power module into the connection points found behind the trim panel in the cargo area and the harness 4-wya plug attaches to the connector behind the rear bumper.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
