Is Drilling Required to Install Curt Class II Trailer Hitch 12142 on a 2017 Jeep Renegade Sport
Question:
Does this hitch require any drilling on my 2017 jeep renegade sport

Expert Reply:
For Curt trailer hitch # C12142 the only drilling you may need to do will be to enlarge access holes that are already on the frame of your 2017 Jeep Renegade Sport. But you could also use a file or rotary toll to enlarge those holes if needed. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
If you plan on doing some towing the recommended ball mount is # C45521. For a 1-7/8 inch ball you can use # A-80. For a 2 inch ball use # A-82. And for trailer wiring you can use # 118651 to add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of the vehicle.
