Recommended Roof Rack For ARE Canopy Short Bed Truck Mount For Use With Roof Basket

Question:

I have an ARE canopy for my Nissan Frontier Crew Cab. This is the short bed. It is a naked roof on the canopy. I want to mount a basket on top thought the top is crowned. What is the best way to add such? I have only 12 inches of clearance from the top of the canopy due to garage clearance. Can it be bolted directly to the top of the canopy and backplated? Thanks you

To install a basket, the best way is to install a roof rack or ladder rack. For your application, I recommend the TracRac CapRac Ladder Rack for Camper Shell/Truck Cap # TH29200XT. You can then install a roof basket to meed your needs, and you most likely will want a shorter one like the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 41-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Deep - 150 lbs # C18115, to meet your height limitations.
