When installing Running Boards on a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. Do the bolts need to be Torqued?

When installing running boards like the DeeZee Nerf Bars, part # DZ372529 there is no mention of using a torque wrench for the mounting hardware in the instructions.
The instructions do say that the hardware should be checked periodically to make sure the hardware remains tightened and secure.
