With your 2011 Ford F-250 King Ranch Diesel, there are a few options and possibilities to provide additional clearance when making turns. First, you will need to check if your truck came with the factory towing prep option in the bed of your truck, which is offered by Ford. Reese and Ford have partnered and offer M5 Series rail kits installed from the factory or as a dealer option for the Ford F-250 and F-350. If you have this option you will need to use an M5 Series Compatible Hitch.

You can get an B&W Companion Slider Hitch or a fixed B&W Hitch. If you use a fixed Hitch you will need to use a Sidewinder Pin Box Coupler as well. For a fixed hitch to use with factory towing prep option, I would recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # BWRVK3300, For the Slider, I would recommend B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # BWRVK3370.

If you do not have the factory towing prep option installed in your 2011 Ford F-250 King Ranch, then you will have 2 options to provide clearance when towing your 8 foot wide trailer.

First, you could go with a slider type hitch to provide extra clearance when making sharp turns. The advantage with a slider hitch is that you will only have the additional clearance when you are not on the road, as the slider must be all the way forward when on the road or highway. The slider would provide clearance in parking lots or campground areas. The disadvantage is that you have to get in and out of your truck each time you need additional clearance.

The other option would be to use a fixed position fifth-wheel hitch and a Sidewinder. The advantage of this option is that you will always have the additional clearance and you will not have to get out of the truck. The disadvantage is that this setup will cost a little more because you are buying the hitch and changing out the pin box coupler on your trailer.

For a slider type fifth-wheel hitch,(if you do not have factory installed tow prep package option) the item you selected, Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Square Tube Slider, part # RP30051, would work well for your 2001 Ford F-250. In addition to the hitch, you will need Reese Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, part # RP30035.

The other option,(if you do not have factory installed tow prep package option) would be to use a fixed fifth-wheel hitch and Sidewinder Pin Box Coupler. For this I would recommend Reese Fifth-Wheel and Installation Kit, part # RP30928, RP30035. For a Sidewinder Coupler, you will need to check the manufacturer and model number to determine which Sidewinder you will need (see Sidewinder FAQ).

I have linked FAQ Articles on the 2011 Ford Super Duty, Fifth-Wheels, and Sidewinders that you may find as a good reference. I have also linked instructions for the Reese Fifth-Wheel Hitches and Installation Kits to show you what is involved in the installation of your fifth-wheel. I have also linked a video installation of a Reese Fifth-Wheel Hitch on a 2008 Ford F-250 which may also be of good reference.
