Will Draw Tite Hitch 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser Allow Cargo Carrier to Fit with Spare
Question:
I have a luggage rack that I use with the trailer hitch, which I had on a different car. I am not sure if the luggage rack will come out far enough to clear the spare tire on the back of the FJ Cruiser. I dont want to install this an then not be able to tie down coolers, luggage, etc. because it wont clear. Has anyone mentioned this before for this car?

When we installed the Draw Tite hitch part # 75461 on a similar 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser we found that it measured 8-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the furthest point out on the rear spare.
What you will need to do on your luggage rack is measure from it's hitch pin hole center out to the nearest upright portion of the rack that would potentially interfere with the spare. If that dimension is greater than 8-1/2 inches it would fit with the hitch.
