Wiring A 5 Wire Harness In 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe To 4 Wire Pilot Brake Controller

The trailer brake controller harness that came with my 2006 Tahoe has an adapter plug for connecting it into the box under the dash near the parking foot brake petal. However the other end of the harness has only single wires - no plug or anything. The 5 wires are heavy gauge dark blue and red and light gauge black, light blue, and brown. 47 DK BLU Trailer Brake Controller Switched Outlet 242 RED Fused Trailer Brake Controller Battery Feed 1050 BLK Brake Controller Ground 1620 LT BLU Vehicle Stop Lamp Switch to Brake Controller input 2409 BRN Brake Controller Illumination The controller I have is a Reese Pilot 7437811 with 4 wires into a a 4-way plug-in. Wire colors are heavy gauge black and blue and lighter gauge red and white. BLACK Battery + RED Stoplight WHITE Ground- BLUE Brake Which of the 5 wires from the plug-in harness from under the dash should be connected to which 4 wires into the controller? Disposition of the 5th harness wire?

For your Pilot 2-6 Brake Electronic Brake Controller - Time Delayed, # 80550, the 4 wire configuration is standard. I've attached a couple help articles for you to assist.

What you will want to do in reference to the color coding you gave me is match the functions. So from the brake controller colors to the other wires, you will connect the following:
White to 1050BLK
Red to 1620 LT BLU
Blue to 47 DK BLU
Black to 242 RED

The 2409 BRN wire will be taped out of the way and not connected to your Pilot Brake Controller.
