The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11261 is a custom-fit Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch opening designed to fit the 1998 Nissan 200SX. The Curt hitch is designed to fit up under the bumper and to bolt on to the frame of your vehicle.

You will need to know what your vehicle's towing and tongue weight capacities are before installation. The Nissan 200SX has an approximate towing capacity of 1,000 lbs. The max tongue weight for your vehicle will be between 100-150 lbs. The max tongue weight is the fully loaded trailer, plus any cargo that you will have loaded in the vehicle behind the rear axle.

If the trailer you are going to tow weighs 1,000 lbs or less when loaded and has a tongue weight that does not exceed the 100 - 150 lbs limit, then the Curt hitch will work for your Nissan 200SX and trailer.

A wiring harness, # HM48925, will need to be installed on your vehicle if the trailer is equipped with lights.

You will also need a ball mount and ball like # C45147 for a 2 inch ball or # C45034 for a 1-7/8 inch ball size.
