Do Brake Controllers Include Custom Wiring Adapter for Installation

Does this brake controller come with a wiring harness?

Brake controllers come with a basic pigtail wiring harness for hardwire installation, or they can come with a connector made to join with a vehicle-specific wiring adapter on vehicles that have a specific port for brake controllers. Since your 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee does NOT have such a port under the dash any brake controller you install will be a hardwired installation.
If the GC has no factory trailer socket at the rear then brake controller installation will require our all-inclusive install kit # ETBC7. An installation video and article are linked. A standard 4-pole flat trailer harness is also required if one is not present, part # C55369 if you do not have the factory tow package, or part # 118381 if you do.
