Can 16k Fifth Wheel Hitch In Bed of 2015 Ram 2500 Short Bed Tow 14k Trailer

Question:

I have a fifth wheel that weights 14040 lbs it is a challenger 30trl I would like to know if a16000 hitch will work ok on my ram 2015 2500hd 6ft bed I see the sliders that is what I want but trying to stay in a budget thank you

If your trailer weighs less than 16,000 lbs when fully loaded a 16k fifth wheel hitch would work well.

For an economically priced 16k hitch we have the Curt Q16 part # C16521 which uses a 360 degree contact jaw design to minimize movement and noise. For a rail kit you then would want a custom install kit like the part # C16427-204 which is custom fit for your truck so that you won't have to do any frame drilling.
