Recommended Hitch Receiver Silencer/Immobilizer
Question:
I have a loose receiver hitch and understand that roadmaster and stowaway both make quieters. Some blog mentioned that etrailer didnt recommend the roadmaster for heavy trailers. Mine is a 6000 pound travel trailer. Would either of the above be suitable for my applications? Thanks.

We have many hitch quiters or immobilizers, but many of them are made more for accessories than towing. The Roadmaster will make your hitch quieter and the Brophy Stabilizer Clamp, # RSCP is similar to the other clamp you mentioned. The Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches, # RM-061 is a good option as is the Brophy, but I do believe there are better options.
I recommend the Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II - 2" Hitches, # BX88224, because it has the ability to stabilize the hitch both vertically and horizontally. If you are interested in a locking hitch pin with anti-rattle, then I recommend the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches - 2-5/8" Span, # 63232, which will also solve your issue.
