Where Do the Extra Wires of the 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter 30717 Run To
Question:
My Nissan Frontier 2007 doesnt have a 7 way connector. Only the 4 way. My trailer only has the 7 way. I brought a Brake Controller and a Brake Controller Adpter Tekonsha and installed it. I also brought a 4 wire flat to 7 wire flat round adapter. However those three cables electric brake, auxiliary 12 volts, and backup reversal wiring are not connected. What I need to do have these three functions working? How can I wire these three cables? I think that with the 4 way to 7 way adapter, I will not have my Brake Controller working right?

The additional wires of the 4-way to 7-way adapter # 30717 are white for ground, yellow for reverse light or auxiliary, blue for brake output, and black for 12 volt accessory. To activate each of these circuits only requires you to run the wire to the proper location.
The blue wire runs to the blue wire of your brake controller. The black wire runs to the positive post through a circuit breaker like part # 9510. The yellow wire would need to tap into the power wire for the reverse lights, and the white wire would need to get grounded to the vehicle frame or negative post of battery.
