Before buying snow tire chains you will want to check your owners manual or with the Ford dealer if you can install snow tire chains on your 2009 Ford Taurus SEL-FWD, or if there are any limitations.
If you have the 215/60R17 tire size on your 2009 Ford Taurus SEL-FWD the Pewag Snox Pro Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains # PWSXP560 are an excellent choice. They are self-centering and auto-tensioning chains that are simple to install. They are SAE Class S chains which means they are designed for restricted clearance. A Class S snow tire chain has to have an internal clearance of 15mm or less.
If you have the 225/55R18 tire size, then I recommend looking at the Titan Diamond Alloy Tire Chains, # TC1553. These chains are very similar to the CS10 chains from Thule and offer many of the same features. If you wanted to stick with Thule, then you would want to look at the Thule K-Summit Tire Chains, # TH02230K45. These are Thule's high end tire chains that are great for vehicles with limited wheel well clearance.
If your vehicle allows it you can use snow tire chains on all four tires or just on the front of a front wheel drive vehicle.
I am including a link to a help article on snow tire chains and demonstration videos for each of the tire chains I mentioned.
