Skinnier Roof Cargo Bag to Fit Next to Yakima Powderhound Ski Rack
Question:
Hi! Ive got a 2015 Acura MDX, and a Yakima Powderhoud ski rack its 22.5inch wide. I have ~47inch on my crossbars inside of where they are attached to the roof. Im curious if I could do the ski rack on one side and then a cargo bag like 988501 on the other side. If seems like from the dimensions it would fit, but Id love to get an experts input on this. My other thought would be to get a bag that is wider and attach on top of the ski rack with skis already loaded. I would then load the bag so that nothing heavy was on top of the skis, but instead loaded to the side of the bag does that make sense? thanks for your support!

Since you basically have 24 inches to work with on your crossbars after having the ski rack installed you would need to go with a skinnier cargo bag like the Rightline part # RL100D90 which is 16 inches wide and can carry up to 4.3 cubic feet of space.
