Availability of a 4-Way Flat Vehicle Connector to a 7-Way Blade Style Trailer Connector
Question:
need to occassionally connect from a 4 pin flat on a friends truck to my car trailer wiring that has a 7 pin flat female on the trailer cord that normally plugs in to my own trucks 7 pin flat male fixture attached to the truck.....which adapter do you suggest?? no brakes or anything else needed for these temporary hookups...only need working lights....

To go from a 4-Way flat on the tow vehicle to a 7-Way blade style trailer connector, you can use the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole, # 37185, or any of the connectors from the link below. You would only need to plug the 4-way portion on the adapter into the 4-Way on the vehicle and attach the white ground wire to the vehicle frame. The remaining wires can be taped up and stowed out of the way if not needed. This will give you brake lights, running lights, and turn signals.
