Need for Transmisson Cooler on Chevy Traverse

will be installing a hitch on a Traverse. will i need the addl engine cooler as comes with the dealer option?

The answer to your question will depend on different factors. My research indicates that the manufacturer stated maximum towing capacity as being 5200 lbs. If you were planning on occasionally towing a small trailer that only weighs 2000 lbs over relatively flat terrain, you will be fine without an additional transmission cooler.
However, if you are planning on frequently towing a trailer that comes close to that maximum weight figure through the mountains a transmission cooler would be a wise investment.
