Question:

Swagman XTC-2 2-Bike Platform Rack 1. how does one lock the bikes to the carrier? 2. how does one lock the carrier to the car? I have a hitch pin lock. Will that still work? Thanks

The Swagman XTC-2 2-bike platform rack # S64670 does not include locks but it is easy enough to add a hitch and cable lock kit # S64031 to secure the rack in your hitch and to secure your two bikes to the carrier.

Most bike racks use proprietary hitch bolts that are not interchangeable so your existing hitch lock will not work in the rack. But the threaded bolt in the lock kit allows for both anti-rattle stabilization and anti-theft security. The included cable is routed through the bike frames and then slips over the bolt before it is tightened and locked; rack and bike security in one product.
