Recommended Class III 2 Inch Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

Is there a 2inch receiver available for a 2017 Toyota RAV 4 Hybrid? Some product information says the 2inch is not appropriate for the electric version, does this mean the hybrid?

The 2017 Toyota RAV4 Curt 2 inch - Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13149 will fit your RAV4 Hybrid model. This is a custom fit bolt-on hitch that requires no welding. Please check out the attached 2017 Toyota RAV4 Best Trailer Hitch video for additional info.

If you plan on towing with your new hitch, check out the versatile etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If the ball mounts in this kit do not have the correct rise or drop for towing your trailer level, then click on the attached link that explains how to measure and choose the correct ball mount for your specific application.

For trailer wiring, I recommend part # 118578. This 4-pole harness plugs in to your vehicle's wiring found inside your trunk. You'll just need to run a hot lead wire to the positive battery post with the included inline fuse. To help prevent electrical failures and corrosion, I would also pick up some Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755..
