If Trailer Has Breakaway Battery Installed Will it Work with Electric Over Hydraulic Disc Actuator
Question:
Im confused. Several of your disc brake mod write ups mention breakaway kits which include a battery, etc. My 14 Montana 5th wheel currently with conventional electric brakes already has a breakaway switch. Will I need another? The existing one currently works off of the unit battery. Wont this also work for the disc system as well or do I need an isolated system just for the disc brake modification?

If your trailer already has a breakaway battery designed for electric brakes already you would not need to purchase an additional setup. You would need the disk brake kit like the part # K2HRCM1337-9DAC that you referenced, an actuator like our favorite Hydra Star # HBA16, and a brake line kit like # 18TA-BLKIT and you would be on your way.
I attached a help article that covers adding EOH brakes to a trailer for you to check out as well.
