Question:
Hey! I have a 2015 Subaru Forester with roof rails, but dont have cross bars. Do I need to purchase cross bars for this system or are they included? It looks like the system includes cross bars?? Thank you so much!!

Expert Reply:
The Thule SUP Shuttle Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier # TH811XT does require roof rack crossbars for installation but this carrier will work fine on almost any type of bar shape and fits well so long as the two bars' center-to-center spread is at least 24-inches.
All crossbar options for your 2015 Subaru Forester with raised side rails can be seen on the linked page. The SUP shuttle will fit directly on any of these racks, the only exception being the Thule AeroBlade Edge rack, which will also require the adapter kit # THXADAPT12. AeroBlade bars are much quieter than other shapes when you are travelling at highway speeds and they are often preferred over basic round and square bar racks.
For the most OEM-like appearance customers typically prefer the black AeroBlade Edge system # TH7502B-TH7502B. With this you will need the adapter kit noted above. If you prefer silver bars you can use instead rack # TH7502-TH7502.
