Parts Needed to Install a Demco Hijacker Auto Slide Fifth Wheel Hitch in a 2016 Ram 2500 Short Bed

I just purchased a new 2016 Ram 2500 and know absolutely nothing about 5th wheels. I am wondering what is required to install the Demco hijacker on this vehicle. Im hoping the sprayed in bedliner doesnt matter. Do you folks have a list of installation vendors? Thanks

We have just what you need to install a Demco Hijacker Auto Slide fifth wheel hitch # DM8550034 in the bed of your 2016 Ram 2600 short bed.

You will need to install the rail kit part # DM8552025-71 in the bed of your truck to give the hitch something to attach to. This is a custom install kit so that means the install time will be about half that of a universal kit and it will minimize frame drilling. Your spray-in bed liner would not be an issue at all.

For a 7-way to install in the bed of your truck to make connecting your trailer lights easier you would want the part # 41157. Most 7-ways will be at the rear of the truck near the bumper which doesn't work will with fifth wheel hitches. This kit installs in line with the 7-way at the rear of your truck and gives you a second one to install in the bed.
