Brake Controller Installation in 2005 Nissan Titan Without Factory Tow Package
Question:
I purchased a Drawtite brake controller and a 3050-P adapter for 2005 Nissan Titan. The truck did not come with a factory towing package and I can not find the factory plug to install the 3050- P adapter. Im thinking my model truck may not have this plug or Im just not finding it under the dash. Ive looked to no avail, Ive watched your installation video but still can not find the factory electric brake plug. What else might I need to get the brake controller wired up? Thanks.

On some of the Nissan Titans (primarily the XE versions) the factory brake controller plug, if present, does not have the 4 pins to match up with the adapter plug # 3050-P. In such cases it is necessary to splice together the vehicle wiring to the adapter.
When there is no brake controller connection port under the dash you will just do a hardwired installation for your controller. For this we recommend using our # ETBC7 brake controller install kit along with a 4-pole harness. If the Titan does not have a 4-pole flat wiring harness you can use part # C59236 which is also a hard-wired installation.
I have linked an installation video for the # ETBC7 kit as well as a detailed article.
