Recommended Brake Controller And Wiring Harness For 2017 Acura MDX
Question:
Good morning, Will this fit a 2017 MDX with the tow package?

There is no confirmed brake controller harness for the 2017 MDX so if a brake controller is installed it will have to be a hard-wire installation.
If you do not have a 4-way trailer connector at the back of your MDX that is the first step that will need to be taken. I recommend part # 118628. This harness plugs into the location behind the driver side trim panel in the rear cargo area. You can see where it is located in the attached installation video I have provided. A tech tip for your Acura is that it may be necessary to see a local Acura dealer for a relay to activate the tow package wiring circuit.
Next, you will need part # ETBC7. This plugs into the 4-way connector and the additional wires are run as shown in the attached drawing.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
The brake controller I recommend is the P3, part # 90195. This is one of our most popular because it is easy to install and operate.
