A rear spoiler on a vehicle, whether it is at the roofline as on your Ford Edge or on the trunk as on many small sedans, can make it tougher to fit a trunk-mount bike carrier. Fortunately the smart folks at Yakima created 2- and 3-bike versions of their Fullback locking carrier that will work fine on your car.

Both the 2-bike # Y02634 and the 3-bike # Y02633 use a simpler 4-strap attachment system - not 6 like most racks do. This means easier installation as shown in the linked video. Plus both racks include locks for both the rack itself and for your loaded bikes. The upper straps are high enough on the carrier that they will not put excessive pressure on your roofline spoiler; you'll install these in their anchor mode as described in the linked instructions.

The linked photo taken from the Yakima website shows the installation on a vehicle with a roofline spoiler. Note that even if you only have 2 bikes to transport using a 3-bike carrier will give you more room to load the bikes.
