In order for the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Slider # BWRVK3400-5W to fit your truck, you will first need to have the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1050-5W installed. This fifth wheel hitch is only confirmed to work with B&W gooseneck hitch installation kits.
This hitch gives you full access to your truck bed when you remove the hitch. It is heavy, so it's easier to take it out of the truck by removing the head first but even that leaves the base which is still approximately 200 lbs. Another option is to use an electric hoist like the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch w/ Remote and Pulley Block, AC Powered - 1,200 lbs # DL25727.
If your 1994 Chevy C/K has a 7-way at the bumper that uses a U.S. style car connector, you can install a wiring harness for your truck bed, such as # C56000, in line with the existing 7-way connector. Adding a connector to the bed of the truck makes for an easier connection point for the wiring harness.
