Can the Fixed Version of the Reese M5 Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch be Used in a Short Bed Truck

will this work in a 6 3/4 bed or only a 8 foot bed?

Reese M5 Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30921 can be used in a short bed Ford truck with the factory prep package but we recommend the slider version for short beds, # RP30144, so you will have more clearance when making tight turns.
Depending on the width of the trailer if you did not use the slider and make a tight turn the trailer could hit the truck cab and damage both leading to costly repairs.
