Different Types of Brakes Lines for Boat Trailers
Question:
Boat trailer brake lines Is not there a difference between automobile brake lines and boat trailer brake lines
asked by: Ray
Helpful Expert Reply:
Both automobile and trailer standard brakes lines are made of steel tubing like # T4336000. This item has a 3/16-inch diameter and the steel line is both copper-plated and galvanized for resistance to corrosion.
Boat trailers can also be equipped with flexible brake lines that work better with torsion axles where there is movement. An example of such a kit is part # 18SI-BLKIT from Titan.
Both disc and drum brakes can use the same steel lines.
