Recommended Extra-Long Hitch Lock for Toyota OEM Hitch Applications
Question:
Hi, Will this hitch lock work with the factory Toyota hitch for my 2012 FJ Cruiser? Thanks

Expert Reply:
Some Toyota factory hitches will require an extra-long hitch lock to span the outside of the hitch tube. We do offer a hitch lock made for this situation, the DeadBolt # RH5-XL which has a center span of 3-5/8-inches. The Bulldog lock # BD580402 has a center span of only 2-1/2-inches so it may not work on your Toyota OEM hitch. Our etrailer.com lock # e98881 will definitely fit so it is the better choice. Please refer to the linked video for more on this item.
