Power Level Goes Up and Down on P3 Brake Controller when Stepping on Brake Pedal
Question:
Ive got the P3. When I slide the lever it goes to max like it should currently set at 7.5 and I can feel it braking. Great. But when normal braking not all the way to panic braking, Im watching the numbers on the screen and it goes up-and-down sometimes it bumps up to 13 for a split second. Is that normal? No warnings on the units display. Brake lights all work, and with the brake pedal down theres power to both brake drums. Also when stopped with the brakes off and then on, I thought after 5 seconds it was supposed to do like 20 of the max pressure if I held the brake pedal down. Doesnt always seem to do so. Thanks.

It sounds like there might be a loose wire and/or corrosion in the vehicle or trailer side connectors. The problem might be either the left or right brake/turn signal circuits (3 and 9 o'clock positions on a 7-Way connector).
First I would make sure that the vehicle and trailer side connectors are clean and free of corrosion inside, where the wires attach, and outside on the pins. Then you can check for any loose or damaged/pinched wires and fix them as needed.
I have also included some links on testing and troubleshooting brake controllers for you.
