I contacted our representative at Firestone and he informed me that you should be able to un-bolt the bump stops. You should be able to access the bolts through the opening at the rear of the frame. The instructions for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, part # F2430 also state that you should un-bolt the bump stops.

In addition to part # F2430, I would also recommend Firestone Level Command II - Single-Gauge w/ Standard-Duty Compressor - Single Function, part # F2158, to control and monitor the air pressure in the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs.

I have linked instructions for the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Rear Kit, part # F2430.
