Can the Tekonsha P2 Electric Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 be Used with a 2010 Dodge Ram
Question:
Is the P2 90885 the correct controller for my 2010 Dodge Ram crew cab 1500 4x4?

Brake controllers are not vehicle specific so you can use the Tekonsha P2, # 90885, or any other brake controller with your 2010 Dodge Ram. Depending on the options your truck has, you may need some additional components to install the brake controller.
If your truck has a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector, you will need Tekonsha Brake Controller # 90885 with wiring adapter # 3021-P. This is the brake controller and the compatible wiring harness that plugs into a port under the dash of your Ram. I have included a link to the installation details below.
If your Ram has a factory 4-Way flat trailer connector, you will need the same # 9088 and # 3021-P, but you will need to add a 7 and 4 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. You will plug the 4-Way into the back of the # ETBC7 and hardwire the remaining 4 wires. I have included a link below that explains the process along with a video showing the installation of an # ETBC7 kit.
If your Truck has no trailer connector, you will first need to install a 4-Way, # 119178KIT, and then install the # ETBC7 kit as explained above. With no trailer connector present, you would order the brake controller by itself, # 90885.
