Weight Distribution System Recommendation for 2011 GMC Yukon

Question:

I’m looking to pull a boat that is probably going to be right at, or slightly over, the 5000 lb, non WD hitch limit marked on reciever on the truck. I assume Ill need a WD hitch and an transmission cooler but when I use your hitch locater tool on the website it says there are no WD hitches available to a 2011 Yukon all models… please advise

You have to first determine if a weight distribution system can be used on your 2011 GMC Yukon. I would be shocked if your vehicle wasn't rated for it, but you still have to check to be sure.

For a trailer that weighs near 5,000 lbs the Strait Line system part # RP66083 would be your best option. It has as tongue weight range that would fit your trailer well as it's range is 400-800 lbs and it has the only sway control on the market designed to fight sway before it starts.

For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.

For a transmission cooler the most popular option that would work well is the part # D13503. I attached an install video that shows this cooler being installed in a similar GM SUV.
